Description
An old colour illustration by H.M. Bateman showing an aghast crowd of skiers and holidaymakers looking towards a dejected snowball-thrower who is trudging away into the distance. St. Moritz was a popular skiing destination for the upper classes during the 20s and 30s and the aspirational atmosphere of the resort is captured brilliantly by Batemans illustration. From the Tatler 1926.
